The New Catholic Encyclopedia Supplement 2009 focuses on two themes: the Church and Science and the Church in the United States. It features 185 signed, peer-reviewed entries, some of which are updates to past New Catholic Encyclopedia entries but many of which are brand new. Regarding the theme of the Church and Science, the supplement examines scientific and bioethical topics such as intelligent design, brain death, assisted nutrition, cloning, and reproductive technology. As pertains to the theme of the Church in the United States, the supplement highlights events and statistics, such as the local ecclesial responses to sex abuse cases and the rapid growth of ethnic populations. The New Catholic Encyclopedia , 2nd edition, published in partnership with the Catholic University of America, is a 15-volume set with supplements, which focuses on relevant, high-interest areas of Catholic life. Volumes and supplements in the set are also available for purchase separately.

A “file MD5” is a hash that gets computed from the file contents, and is reasonably unique based on that content. All shadow libraries that we have indexed on here primarily use MD5s to identify files.
A file might appear in multiple shadow libraries. For information about the various datasets that we have compiled, see the Datasets page.
